Adonis is a king; he's always been a king. Always been a handsome individual, that is, until his recently aquired curse. Now, his skin is gaunt and hollowed out, has the bearing of death around it. There is a specter of undeath and decay, necrotic rot1. Now he stinks, reeks of death.

Adonis had always been king of Lagnosia; a prosperous kingdom of learning and culture, art in philosophy, rich with orchards, olives, wine, tapestry, pottery, sculpture, all those things that make life worth living2. With King Adonis, handsomest man in the lands, and his wife, beautiful Queen Alexandra, daughter Sofia and son Dimitri who asks; "Mother, will I one day be as ripped and handsome as my dad?" to which the queen replies, "Of course [...] we will all be equally the most ripped and hot and handsome, sharing the wealth of this kingdom."
This iddylic times do not last, as 180 days prior to the start of the adventure we follow, as the Queen tends to the sick in one of their renoun hospital, people traveling far and wide for the healing waters of Lagnosia3... Hades rises from shadows, whispering menacingly: "The hands of the Lagnosians have robbed me of my prize too many times; do you know me by my face, mortal? I, am he of the underworld, Shady Hades.... I am H-A-Deez... Deez NUTS! Fuck you guys. You have healed the sick one too many times; and for this, you must be punished! A curse on Lagnosia!"
Following his speech, Hades spread across the entire kingdom a curse of rot and decay, promising: "All will fall to ruin; your kingdom is cursed forevermore!" King Adonis pleads, "I beg you, please, take this curse away, We've done nothing but what we're supposed to do. We've uplifted society, All of us we've taken care of each other. We've been kind to one another, we have developped a community that is thriving and prosperous, what have we done wrong to deserve this!" To which Hades replies: "Oh, you believe that you are judged on right and wrong? You ade judged based on what Shady Hady says, goes. The big man! The Zeus is loose! He writes the rules, and the rules go by what's cool, and what's cool is what we SAY is cool!"
The queen cries "You have cursed us, to be busted, and no longer hot!
To which Hades replies "Aigh- to be clear, that's not what I'm doing. I- It's about death; it's a reference to death and being undead"
The queen cuts him off; "Whatever! I don't give a shit", weeping into Adonis's shoulders.
As a final statement, Hades promises "This curse will stand forever, Adonis, there is no hope for you!"
